Why Bait Products are Better

I've seen the "Bug Guy" come many times before. I know how this works. He comes in with the shiny tank and sprays all over. Sometimes it even leaves a smell. I know all about this!! Really? Well, if this is your point of view, that "The man with the can" shows up and sprays all over, have I got some news for you about pest control in the 21st century. To start with, React Pest Control Inc. has been utilizing "INSECT FORAGING PRODUCTS" or insect baits for a number of years now. These are odorless, non-spray products that are placed in specific locations in & around the service premises. No more going around the perimeter of every room with a spray. In some cases we can even place outdoor bait stations around the foundation. You don't even need to be home. We would only come indoors to render a specific treatment for a specific problem only if needed. These products are a safer alternative to spraying and here's the best part: IT WORKS BETTER!! That's right, it works better. OK, Ha, I've heard of these so-called safer pesticides they are so safe that they don't even kill the bugs. So, what's the point then? Well, here's the point. We actually took about a year to test the new generation of professional insect bait products before introducing them to our customers. In fact Jim Green, owner of React Pest Control Inc. even published an article that appeared in a nationally distributed trade publication "Pest Control Magazine" (Sept. 2000 issue) regarding our change from standard insecticide sprays to insect baiting. What we found in the year that we rendered these field tests is that indeed, some bait products didn't work. Some did, and some were superior in our opinion. Those that we found superior in controlling general crawling insects are the products that we currently offer our customers. Included with our general pest control program is a service warranty. If an insect problem persists between regularly scheduled services, we will come back AT NO CHARGE! Now, we couldn't and wouldn't offer that type of warranty if we weren't comfortable with the results of our year-long testing. OK! How does this work? Well, many bait products are a dry granular bait, gel, or liquid bait. These products contain carbohydrates and proteins to act as an attractant. In many cases small bait placements are made to out of the way areas. Because these products attract the insects we do not need to go around the entire room or in some cases we don't have to enter indoors at all, outdoor bait stations will do the trick. The insects will actually come to the bait placements and will carry the product back to nesting areas inside walls, floors, under patios and so on. Areas that are usually inaccessible to standard sprays. This is why this method actually works better. A method to control insects that's safer and more effective!! NOW HOW GREAT IS THAT!!!
