Roaches
Roaches
are a problem, no doubt about it. But let them be a problem
someplace else. NOT HERE!!! That's a sentiment expressed by
most. What can you do to make that sentiment a reality? Get
serious and let a trained professional manage the problem. That's
right, manage the problem. If you think that a roach problem
is a one two three "YER OUT" proposition, think again!!
Did you know that the most common type of roach on Long Island
is the German Cockroach? Most Common Type?? You mean there's
more than one kind of roach? You bet!! If you didn't know
that then you really better not entertain thoughts of trying
to do your own roach control. Identification is key. More than
likely if you're a restaurant then German roaches probably are
the culprit. But then again it could be Oriental roaches, or
maybe American roaches. Who cares what their nationality
is, I want them to be dead roaches! Well, different products
will work well on some roaches BUT NOT ON OTHERS!! This is why
identification is important. If you have a problem with roaches
or even if you don't have a problem yet, it's important to realize
just how quickly roaches can manifest into a BIG problem.
Let's go back to the most common guys on the block. The German
Roaches. Did you know that a single female roach can produce
between 30 & 40 baby roaches in a single egg sack? Did you
know that a single German roach can go from the egg to adulthood
in just 36 days? What does all this mean? Well, it means this.
If you have roaches that come in on something like a delivery
and there is just one female roach on that delivery, within
36 days, just about a month, that single roach will have produced
about 30 to 40 roaches. OK, let's go with the lower number,
30, just so we don't over dramatize things. It's reasonable
to assume that half of those 30 which is 15 will be female and
will reproduce within that month or so time frame. So 15 females
reproducing 30 more roaches....... That works out to be 450
more roaches in just a month. Now bear in mind that this is
based on just a single roach coming in on a delivery. The reality
is, you usually will get way more than just one roach on a delivery.
So factor that 450 number by 10 which is more in tune with reality
and you could have 4,500 roaches in that 1 month time frame.
What can be done? What you can do is have a regular pest
management program in place on a weekly or twice monthly basis,
depending on your individual needs. By utilizing Borid dust
along with insect bait products which allows foraging roaches
to carry product back to hidden nesting sites, the adult roaches
will be controlled. Finally, the use of a product to stop the
reproductive cycle of the roaches. This product is called an
I.G.R-(I.G.R, Integrated Growth Regulator.) In basic terms,
it's birth control for roaches. This is how a proper professional
roach management program is implemented. Management because
it takes time, meticulous inspection and application of the
proper product and a cooperative relationship between ourselves
and you on a regular basis. Under these criteria roaches can
be managed and even stopped!! We include our service warranty
